Bookmark data

mnera.io is built on the Solid protocol. All bookmark data is stored in a Solid pod that you own and control — it is never transmitted to or stored on Symantix Ltd servers. Authentication to your pod is handled by your chosen Solid identity provider (for example, solidcommunity.net); mnera.io receives only a short-lived access token and your WebID, which are held in your browser session and used solely to read and write your own pod.

mnera.io account (optional)

Creating a mnera.io account is optional and separate from your Solid pod. If you register, we store the following in our database:

• Email address
• Display name (if provided)
• A hashed (bcrypt) password — your plain-text password is never stored
• App settings preferences (theme, language, sort order, etc.)
• Subscription status and your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers

We do not store payment card details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. (see below). The Stripe customer ID stored in our database is used only to look up your subscription status and open the Stripe billing portal on your behalf.

Payment processing — Stripe

Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe is a PCI DSS-compliant payment processor. When you subscribe, Stripe collects your card details directly — these are never transmitted to or stored by Symantix Ltd. Stripe's use of your data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.

Infrastructure — Vercel

The mnera.io application and database are hosted on Vercel, Inc. Server-side account data (email, hashed password, settings, subscription identifiers) is stored in a Vercel Postgres database. Limited technical data — such as IP addresses and server access logs — is processed by Vercel for security and reliability purposes, governed by Vercel's data processing agreement and applicable data protection law.

Usage analytics — Vercel Analytics

mnera.io uses Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregate usage data. This includes page views, referrer URLs, device type, browser, operating system, and country-level location (derived from IP addresses that are not stored). No cookies are set by Vercel Analytics, no individual users are identified or tracked across sessions, and no personal data is collected or retained. The data is used solely to understand general usage patterns and improve the service. Vercel's processing is governed by the Vercel Privacy Policy.

Cookies and tracking

We use a single, strictly necessary session cookie to maintain your mnera.io account login state. We do not use advertising cookies, user-tracking scripts, or behavioural profiling. No personal data is sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

Your rights

If you have a mnera.io account, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about you. To delete your account and all associated data (email, name, settings, and subscription identifiers), contact us at the address below. Deleting your mnera.io account does not affect any data stored in your Solid pod. Active subscriptions should be cancelled before requesting deletion to avoid further charges.

Permitted use

mnera.io is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may use the service to save, organise, and export bookmarks stored in your own Solid pod. You must not use the service in a way that interferes with other users or with the infrastructure of any Solid pod provider.

Free and Pro plans

mnera.io is available on a free tier and a paid Pro tier. The features included in each tier are described on the pricing page and may change from time to time. Continued use of the service after a feature change constitutes acceptance of the revised offering.

Subscriptions and billing

Pro subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. All prices are in GBP and inclusive of any applicable VAT. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal in your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and you retain Pro access until then.

Account security

You are responsible for keeping your mnera.io account credentials confidential. Symantix Ltd is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised access to your account caused by your failure to keep your password secure.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. Symantix Ltd does not guarantee uninterrupted availability and accepts no liability for loss of data stored in third-party Solid pods.

Intellectual property

The mnera.io application code is open source. The mnera.io name and logo are trademarks of Symantix Ltd. Your bookmark data belongs entirely to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
